Pollinators

I recently came across this very tired and hungry bumblebee. The little guy was so tired and hungry he let me scoop him up in my hand without any fuss. once I realized he was still alive I immediately went into the kitchen to chop up an over-ripe apple for him to eat. As soon as I put him on the apple he started to move around again. Once I saw that he was eating I looked up what other foods I could feed him. To my surprise there were multiple websites that explained that many pollinators often don't have enough energy to move around and find food due to the lack of pollinating plants left in the world. So in order to help, people online suggest leaving out a nectar solution along with a pollinator garden to give the tired beens and other pollinators an extra energy boost until they reach where they need to go. Some also suggest getting a small bee house where Mason Bees can hibernate over the winter months in order to help pollinator population growth.

Blow are links in order to help tired bees get an extra energy boost and how to build your own bee house!
