Health Benefits of Mushrooms

For many people mushrooms are a bit of a mystery. Are they fruits, a vegetable, a type of plant? Mushrooms are actually decomposers meaning they break down different organic matter. Unknown to many people, mushrooms of all kinds have many different health benefits! Depending on what type of mushroom you choose to eat, it will have different benefits. Just to name a couple, if you add Reishi mushroom powder to your morning coffee, you'd be getting necessary vitamins to improve your immune system, protecting against high cholesterol, high blood pressure, etc. Adding Lion's Mane powder to your morning drink of choice would aid in improving your cognitive health as well as heart health. These powders can probably be found in your local organic food stores and if not, like everything else, they can be found on Amazon. There are also teas and coffees that you can buy that come with different mushroom powders in them already. For example, Four Sigmatic.
